- Google Analytics gets each step as an event:
search,view_item_list,select_item,begin_checkout, thenpurchasewhen a booking is confirmed. - Meta gets PageView on load and Purchase when a booking is confirmed. The other steps arrive as custom events.
- The purchase value is Average spend per cover times the party size, an estimate. For ticketed events it is the ticket total.
Count bookings in Google Ads
There is no field for a Google Ads ID. Use Google Analytics instead:
- In Google Analytics, mark the
purchaseevent as a conversion. - Link your Google Analytics property to Google Ads.
- In Google Ads, set the conversion to use a different value for each conversion.
The full guide is under Google Analytics & Ads tracking guide on the same page.
Check it worked
Make a test booking on your booking page, then look for it in Google Analytics Realtime or Meta Events Manager.
Email support at agent@stampede.ai with:
- Your venue name.
- A screenshot of the Tracking page.
- Which tool is not receiving bookings.
Good to know
- IDs are set per venue, so add them to each venue.
- Leave Average spend per cover empty and table bookings send a value of 0, so Meta gets Purchase as a custom event only.
- The currency is always sent as GBP, whatever currency your venue uses.
- For bookings by source inside Stampede, use UTM links from Link Builder.
- Marketing and IT cannot see Bookings, so they cannot open Tracking.
