Seat a large party when no table or combination fits

Take the booking yourself and join several tables, or set up a combination so the party size can book online next time.

In short: create the booking on the Day Planner and join tables with Combine tables. Add a combination so the size books online next time.

where to find it

Book it from the Day Planner

  1. Go to Bookings › Day Planner, then choose your venue.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Fill in Date, Party Size, Duration, Time and Booking Type.
  4. Click Assign tables.
  5. Turn on Combine tables and pick each table.
  6. When the counter reads Seated or shows a number over, click Done.
  7. Add the guest's details and click Create booking.

If you see Over capacity for this time, check the time, then click Create anyway or Change time.

Let this size book online

  1. Go to Bookings › Combinations, then choose your venue.
  2. Click Create combination.
  3. Pick the Tables in this combination.
  4. Set Min capacity and Max capacity, then click Create combination.
  5. If your booking types use Custom table selection, add it to each one.

Good to know

  • Online bookings only offer a party size that fits a table or combination.
  • Allow staff override (Bookings › Main Settings › Day Planner) decides whether staff can book outside the online rules. Only Admin, Moderator and General Manager can always override.
  • When it is off, other roles book in restricted mode, with a banner showing the limits.
  • For very large groups and private hire, enquiries may suit better.
