The Challenge

In a competitive market like hospitality, staying on top of customers’ minds is essential to retention. At the beginning, “we didn’t do much in terms of data collection, but with my background in marketing I was aware of how important it was.” The initial buzz of new-venue footfall wasn’t going to sustain itself — the most reliable way to keep traffic going was to start capturing customer contacts and sending emails.

The Solution

Butta Burger’s unique branding helps raise awareness across all digital channels: “Having the ability to change the splash screen design makes it look personal to us rather than some generic Wi-Fi provider.” Plus, “from a customer’s point of view, it’s really easy to sign-up for the Wi-Fi as there’s no lengthy form.” That smooth log-in experience is reflected in their 95% opt-in rate.

The Stampede Marketing platform also makes it easy to create high-converting branded campaigns — a task they’d previously outsourced to a designer. Within 6 months, they generated over £26,000 in return visits. They’ve also started asking custom questions on Wi-Fi sign-up forms — for example, a ‘Student Segment’ that lets them send targeted offers to students.

Coming Up

Graham is already looking into expanding Butta Burger further. Due to the easy setup and strong results, Stampede is now a fixed part of their growth plans.
